Proposed New School

Due to the split site nature of the schools and the condition of the Infant building we have been  identified by the City of York as being an urgent case in terms of rebuilding.

This will bring the two federated schools together on one site in a new twentith Century building. At this point the two schools will amalgamate and become one.

The opportunity provides the federation with an excellent opportunity to redefine how the school approaches both teaching and learning. All staff are have been involved in reviewing current arrangements and making plans for transforming the experience of schooling for all children.

As details and plans become become more fixed this site will be updated to track the progress of the project.

Progress so far:

  • Architects and other officiers appointed by the City Of York have conducted a feasibility study relating to the proposed new school.
  • Discussion has taken place with Parent groups, pupils and staff.
  • A main Building contractor has been appointed.
  •  Draft plans for the new school are close to completion.
  • Confirmed funding is in place and ring-fenced to the project.
  • Confirmed three form entry school with nursery attached.
  • Initial discussion with local residents.
