Forest Schools
This year on the Rawcliffe site, we are incorporating an exciting new outdoor learning environment into our weekly teaching timetables. The new environment is our ‘mini’ Forest Wildlife Area at the bottom of our playground. Each class from Nursery to Year 2 have sessions within the ‘mini’ Forest Wildlife each week which is referred to as their ‘Forest School’ session. These sessions include activities that help continue to develop each child’s social skills, self esteem, self motivation, physical abilities and language. So far the sessions have been a huge success with fun being had by all and huge amounts of learning taking place.
